I thought the episode could be better thought... well anyways here's hoping for more action the next one...

Finally some action again

gai sure managed to ruin the dramatic moment with his bad memory! XD

IMo the anime had went another direction by expanding the story line way too much< ex. naruto's bedroom, the 1hr crying of naruto going to sand village, and the two hr sakura medical to kankuro part> after seeing todays manga wit itachi and kisame back, anime goin in full swing again.

It seemed unnecessary for Kisame to go through the sand with his sword sticking out. Although it may be to show the viewers he was there or he seemed like a "shark". But what happened to the element of surprise? As for Gai, he might not have recognized Kisame because the technique he fought against him and Itachi is to just look at the feet.

And Kisame also come from the ground like a shark..

There is two reasons to do that.. that the chapter doesn't advance too fast.
As the manga was too short, and they don't want to introduce new elements before they should..

They try to keep extremely close to the manga, and sometimes they need to extend some parts so that the end of the anime match the end of the manga..

And the other reason can be also that they add this little filler scenes, so they can squeeze some extra time in there w/o making a whole filler episode

Hopefully it starts speeding up a bit. Hopefully next week's episode has both fights with conclusion (though I'd be fine with two seperate episodes). But hopefully the only thing that gets extended is that you have an episode for the Team Gai fights.

I doubt they will make one episode.

They will make three episodes, but the fights will be simultaneous.
Episode 1: Like the manga, we have kisame showing off.. then changes to itachi, naruto with all the crap about getting him, then Kakashi explaining Sharingan, and then we got naruto caught on the genjutsu end!

Episode 2: Kisame fight, till the end.
Episode 3: Back to itachi, rest of the fight, they start moving again.



But I strong belive we going to have a filler episode very soon, why I say that? We have that seal on Akatsuki, and they might anime the seal fight.
Not that I find that bad, more fight for us^^ as we not going to get much after that..

There is like 10 fights, only after it. so animating them fighting each other might be very nice! Hey I wanna see more TenTen! Who doesn't like a girl with a giant spike ball of death?

I hope they do that.
And fillers are not so bad if the extend the manga were it's useful, like it is here.

I didn't like that Kishi had Lee, Neji and TenTen around and didn't show them fight, in the manga.
They did nothing in the Kisame fight and he didn't draw the fights against their clones.
That's not so bad if he gave them some fights later on, but he didn't up till now.

So I hope the anime fill(er)s that hole.
