Actually Itachi's ultiamte goal is to use Akatsuki to build the ultiamte drag queen revue. He told his parents and clan members about his dream and when they laughed he had no choice but to kill them, he spared Sasuke because he sensed that one day he would be able to surpass him to become the ultiamte drag queen. Kisame is his partner and coconspirator in this grand dream and together they pursue potential drag queen candidates, after hearing about Naruto's sexy no jutsu they pursued him believing it could be used as the centrepiece of the act. Unfortunately Zetsu has discovered their scheme within schemes and now they're trapped in a desperate race against time to finish their drag act before Zetsu forces them to include him as he's a lousy dancer.

Well that actually makes perfect sense.
But the race against time isn't completely correct.
It's due to Itachi's near blindness.
He accidentally saw Zetsu perform. Zetsu was doing the Makarena and that was almost the final draw. BUT Itachi recovered his sight a bit when he found out that Sasuke stumbled and walked the lonely path of a drag queen.

We have all wondered at what the ever mercurial Kabuto is up to and what his ultimate goals are. we have also pondered in never ending circles of the jutsuu used to seal Kyuubi and the effects it would have based on the third's use of the "same" jutsuu, due to the purity of my heart Kishi-bishie revealed the tapestry of threads that links these seemingly separate plots into a mind shattering revelation that turns everything we have ever believed in the narutoverse upon it's head. after using the refined jutsuu the fourth successfully sealed kyuubi and DID NOT DIE AS WE UNDERSTAND IT! instead his essence was shattered by the sealing process Naruto holds his great heart which keeps the chaos incarnate that is kyuubi under lock and key but other fractured parts of his essence were spread across the naruverse and kabuto holds his incredible intellect. this has allowed kabuto to successfully play every ninja he's encountered as he works towards his ultimate goal of rejoining the parts of the fourth under his full control and bring the kyuubi to heel! I know you are astounded by this as I was at the time it explains Kabuto's fondness for Naruto on several occasions and also why he faced him so brutally in their battle despite how he feels for each part of the fourth he must bring them under his control or fall under the sway of whoever is greater. Of course this begs the question of how many parts of the Fourth's essence were scattered and what will happen when they are gathered together once more. Kishie-bishie only smiled and told me to strive towards further enlightenment that I may serve him better as his prophet bringing the light of understanding to the naruheads to banish the darkness of ignorance that clouds their hearts.

He doesn't want to beat Itachi.
He wants Itachi to acknowledge him as the ultimate Drag Queen.
That is why he took lessons from Oro-chibi. He felt he was gay enough to eat oro which he did, thus adding even more potentially destructive drag queen prowess to his body BUT he feels that he's not strong enough yet for Itachi that is why he wants a 4 queen team so Itachi can finally call him his little queen.

Yes to become this generations great drag queen first he had to eat the last generations orochimaru. Now he seeks the final members of his drag queen quintet to challenge Itachi and finally win his love in a heart warming dance finale.

Well Kishie-Bishie told me that this would happen.
It happened to me also, I gave Kishi-Bishie my social security number and credit cards.
This is why he only shared a small piece of his wisdom for I was not yet mature enough to comprehend the extensive plot twists that overlaps the seemingly uninteresting events and which connects the fillers to the the ending.
