Thread: Is Sasuke ready to defeat Itachi?

When you think about it Sasuke defeated Orochimaru and I know Oro was weaker than Itachi but I dont think by much. Itachi seemed not to want to fight Jiraiya that time when he could have taken Naruto in the hotel.
I know that Orochimaru was weak when he was defeated by Sasuke but still it looks like Sasuke is upp there on a near sannin/akatsuki level. Do you guys think that Sasuke can defeat Itachi now?

I doubt it, but he has a MUCH, MUCH BETTER chance than the last time they met.

If sasuke fights smart instead of just chargin at him like he did last time, he might be able to pull it off. It'll be 4 pretty tough people against just 2, so maybe

Oro was *horribly* weakened last time we saw him, i have no doubt kakashi could have killed him, if with a bit more difficulty.

Itachi has been above and beyond orochimaru's level, at his peak.

But i believe that sasuke is yes gonna make an attempt with his team.

karin to find them, sasuke to kill itachi, suigetsu to counter any water abilities, and juugo i have no idea

Almost got, Kakashi, Naruto and Sakura.

Itachi + Kisame is a tall order for Sasuke and CO.

He might even go down, but won't be easy or without sacrifices

Are you joking if sasuke would be able to defeat itachi then all people would go in to "go die bitch mangaka mode". Sasuke is overpowered now but still he can kiss itachi feet. Atm itachi is known as one of those 1/10 strongest people in narutoverse. If Sasuke was somehow able to pull something from his ass and kill itachi people would go rampage on kishi ass especialy one person here ^^.

Quoted for truth, the fact that Sasuke defeated Orochimaru amounts to nothings since he was at his weakest when they fought.

They had a conversation with naruto when they first met. Sasuke said something along the lines that he is nothing compared to itachi or something like that. I do believe that Sasuke is nothing but a flicker of shadow compared to his brother. Ori was defeated because he was sick at the time.

As long as Sasuke doesnt has the mangekyou Sharingan there is no way that he could beat Itachi.

Only a Mangekyou can beat a Mangekyou.
As far as we know by now, nothing else in the world of naruto can.

Though Sasuke is much stronger now, he's still nothing compared to Itachi, especially since Kishi hasn't shown if he has now attained MS. Just as Sasuke has gotten stronger within 2 1/2 years so has Itachi, but we just don't know by how much. Kishi will probably show in the next few chapters that Sasuke still has a ways to go.
