Look at these examples. Why did Rukia loose to a normal weak hollow in the first chapters of Bleach, when she could've easily slain it?
Because if she had slain him, there would be no shinigami Ichigo and no Bleach at all.

Or why didn't Raito (deathnote) kill all in the team that investigated on Kira after he had finished L off. He didn't need them anymore but kept them alive for no reason for over 3 years.
The answer. They were need for the second arc after L died.

The strain on the users body would probably be to much for the user, using it at the same time wouldn't work i think, it would be cool though, since Kakashi had to cover his Sharingan, does it means that you have to cover both eyes if you have transplanted a Sharingan and a Byakugan?

why it a SPOILER at the first place

or you could have one open most of the time and the other one off or mabe it could mutate? and become like how neo can see in matrix with those 0 and 1?
