Thread: Shushaku: gaara beat by Deidara

I was wondering, when gaara got beat by Deidara Why didnt Shushaku come out? isnt is when gaara loses concienceness shushaku takes over his body?

imean look at the 3 tailed girl she transfomed to the demon but still be the one in ccommand

Two things: First of all, it's Shukaku. Secondly, I don't think we've ever seen Shukaku come out in defense of him. It seemed the shield of sand was the full extent of his power without Gaara giving into the transformation.

I don't think shikaku is responsible for the sand manipulation (though no idea why it wouldn't be), we see him manipulate sand to raise naruto's hand when they say farewell.


My vote is for plot hole as to why shikaku didnt come out. As for fanfiction explaining it, im gonna go with "Cause his chakra was exhausted" though i *doubt* it

You have to take into consideration that he was totally out of chakra given he used the very last of it to move the sand away from the village, hence no shukaku transformation.

Doesn't the tailed-beasts have their own chakra in addition to their human container? Naruto was using kyuubi chakra after he burned all his.

I believe Gaara "controls" Shusaku now. Seeing how he made that giant Shusaku looking guard when he was fighting Kimimaro leads me to believe so. And don't you notice that the sand he flings around is a giant Shusaku looking tail? Just my opinion.
