And nice thoery btw. Even though i believe He's just dead and will never appear in the manga again...

i don't think he's dead...but if he IS dead, there's no such thing as an ilness as the cause of death.
secondly, i believe he (dead or not) will play a really important role in the story and maybe we'll just get some flashbacks of him and sai.

Well, if the theory holds out (and it is typical Kishi that everybody have somesort of connection with eachother) they are probably gonna meet soon since Sai's is with the team and Suigetsu is with Sasuke...

But there will probably only be didicated one or two flashback ch. to the story...

Probably because it doesn't work very well in a(n action) manga. Death by illness is usually fairly unglamourous, not to mention crippling in terms of fighting ability - and usually screentime by extension.

But it's possible for an already deceased character to have gone that way, I think.

Illnesses aways strikes strong characters, or somewhat powerful characters that would otherwise help the main character big time.. but no there is AWAYS some illness.

But yea, in an action manga illness can be a cover up ^^

So we are back to Daom conspiration theory back!! He is ninja pedophile, that kidnap kids from all over the world, abuse them take their emotions away (by molesting) and train them to be a uber elite group of ninjas.
Sui was just another kid to Danzo, but he was different, he had a brother Sai, whom he swore to protect from that evil pedobear. And he fought back, he grew teeth!
He bit Danzo's jewels clean off, and poked into his eye!
After that, Danzo infuriated sold the boy to Orochimaru, for more molesting of course.

But Danzo was scarred for life, for that he said Sui died of Illness to control even more Sai!

You see Sui was Sai's brother, when orochimaru got him, he renamed him SuiGetsu.. (Sui get you) and pointed funny at him~

See all makes sense.
