Thread: Is Sasuke over powered? how does naruto measure up?

Half of Sasuke's hype is real and the other half is fans going crazy everytime he does anything. I see people saying he is awesome for cutting Tobi despite the fact that it did nothing. These same people would call Naruto a chump for making a complete mistake and thinking they defeated an enemy like that.

i think the level of skill can be exaggerated too

sasuke could just be jounin level
suigetsu, juudo, could be weakling chuunin level, hence they can be over powered

his arrogant attitude gives the illusion that he is stronger too but when it comes to skill it might not be so

but the biggest hype comes from sasuke killing orochimaru, which people refuse to recognise that orochimaru was seriously ill and wasnt in a condition to fight!!

yes ninja frogs and toads are very dangerous, they can spit poison and maybe poison glands maybe!?

what if naruto can summon a bunch of them about medium size ones? holding katanas!! swinging and spitting poison at you!!

plus!.. frogs can do handseals (gamabunta did a henge), so they can perform ninjutsu, naruto just needed to master the summoning technique, which i think he did in during the time skip!

Not that he need to learn how to use it properly, but he need kishis to acknowledge his power, so he wont win every fight with rasengan and plot no jutsu.

AFAIK Asuma was only wind-type.

No Asuma's main chakra type is Wind, we never knew his other one. Just like we have no idea about Zabuza or anyone else who is dead. Just because they only had the chance to show one doesn't mean they didn't have more.

but naruto has a bigger rasengan, so apparently it's even (in kishi's mind anyways). Because retarded rasengan is REALLY huge now.

ah i love this thread, everytime i come here theres more plp<which i believe i was the only one at first, that emo sasuke is ALITTLE overpowered> thinks the same way.

But in the end kishimoto is gonna do the right thing, i believe it is destined for sasuke to have these type of pretty cool lookin jutsus, while naruto only has his very own spirit bomb. in the end plp, it will be a blast what kishimoto has instore for the sasuke vs naruto match. we will see how naruto could overcome the overpowered warloc...i mean sasuke.< god for plp tht play warcraft u kno what i mean.>

kishi is just giving sasuke more panel time fighting.
we don't know what naruto can do.
for all we know,they may be almost even.
sasuke has a better chance of winning,but they are not that outmatched.

I have the posts per page set at the highest number (40), and it's still 13 pages. I can't go through that many posts.

Anyway...I refuse to accept the idea that Sasuke just looks stronger because he has more face time, when THE SERIES IS CALLED NARUTO. He's the main character, for Christ's sake, and if Kishimoto wants us to believe that the two of them are even in overall strength, then he did a terrible job of it. But I think that's the last thing he wants, for the same reasons MisterQ said--Sasuke has to be stronger because he's Naruto's final goal and main source of motivation. I don't see what's so unreasonable about that, because there's no room to just "hype" Sasuke up in the story without making him better.
