Thread: Yamato loyalty

can yamato be trusted the reason i ask is because in chapter 285 there is a anbu guy talking to sai and they both seem to be working for danzou and in chapter 286 we see yamato with the the same mask on his table which when he was talking with tsunade he had a different mask with him.

i dunno abotu his loyalty. i guess i'll have to go back and check the mask thing that ur saying. personally i never really trusted him when i saw him but after he trained naruto for that long time i kinda accepted. would add some interesting twists to the story.

IIRC he was looking in Sai's bag at that time, so you could say that it was Sai's mask.

I saw it more as him investigating Sai, he was warned about him before the mission.

That isn't possible. If I remember correctly there are just 12 animal masks.

Wouldn't individual masks kind of defeat the purpose of wearing them in the first place...?

I see what your saying about wearing individual masks would kind of defeat the purpose, but if you go back chuunin exam arc they show each of the anbu wearing different masks, and even if the mask were of the same animal they were always different in color, design, and patterns. although I would not doubt that yamato was looking in sai's bag but if that were the case why is the mask sai had the exact shape and pattern of the guy who handed sai the list of anbu working for tsunade. I really doubt that they were both wearing the exact masks.

isn't sai part of the old school anbu "root" ?

and yamato is the current anbu
