Speculations: Chuunin exams

Examining how the plot has been unfolding lately, it might not be a stupid to assume that there will be another in-depth Chuunin exam taking place.

Hear me out.

1) Saskue has now betrayed Orochimaru and whatever the outcome, it would most likely delay Orochimaru's attempts at stealing Saskue's body (if this will even happen is unlikely). News of this will probably reach Konoha which may relieve the urgency of having to find Saskue, allowing Naruto to participate in the Chuunin exam.

2) With the lost of 3 Akatsuki members now, this is a serious blow to the organization. They would most likely need to regroup and replace their fallen members before they decide to move again.

With the occurrence of these two events, it is not improbable that Kishimoto decides to do another Chuunin exam. This will serve to both, give Naruto a chance to become a Chuunin, but also to introduce new characters into the storyline.

Discuss.

Not bad but honestly do we REALLY need new characters??? its not like theres a shortage of existing ones since like only four protagonists have died in the entire damn manga.

We still have to consider what's going to happen to the rings. Those rings are essential to Akatsuki.

It would be, in my opinion, annoying. There would be nothing new with the chunnin exams, and as StealDragon said, there is no need to introduce new characters, or at least, there is no need to have another chunnin exam arc, just to introduce them.

The chunnin exams already served many purposes in its time, like introducing important characters, explaining some stuff, and probably, it is where Naruto's (the manga) story actually started; most of the important stuff took place by the time of the chunnin exams.

I don't know, if Kishimoto does something like having the test start before Naruto's hand heals then it could actually be somewhat interesting.

Do we really want to see him beating on little kids otherwise?

Chuunin exams aren't really that important. Naruto could be promoted on his recent accomplishments, since (from what I thought) the exams aren't about winning but good decision-making. & He would be competing against Konohamaru.
Actually, it would be dangerous to have Naruto compete in another exam. Imagine he transforms into Sanbi Kitsune, is Yamato going to have to stand beside Naruto the whole time. Naruto could easily kill everyone. So *prediction* for the safety of other participants, Naruto will be promoted without having to fight.

I know a lot of people want it
But an another chuunin exams is a waste of time and effort

maybe naruto can come in the exam finals as like a speical opponent, that way it saves him time doing the things before hand and it makes him have a bit more time to train with Kakashi and Yamato if they still need 2 train. it would be pretty cool if he could own all the genin there with just 1 hand since the other is still on recovery

which was the third akatsuki member that died (hidan, kakuzu, and _____)?

it couldn't be sasori because he was already replaced

Or he doesn't even get that.
He said himself in the chuunin writing exam that it doesn't matter to him if he will be a genin forever and that he'll become Hokage anyhow.
He doesn't really care about being chuunin or jounin. His goal is to become hokage and before that to bring back Sasuke.
At the moment he doesn't really have something on his mind besides that.

And he would most likely gain nothing from it besides the title of chuunin.

He was of course a bit down at the time he heard he is the last gening from the group, but that was just for an instant.
Since then he has never even stated that he wants to become chuunin too (I think he didn't even say something like that at the time he got the news).

Not to mention that he is beyond that in terms of strenght


He'll either get promoted without an exam (which I highly doubt) or just stay genin until he is gaining the title of Hokage. You can pretty much count on that.
