    Default Theory-True nature of Naruto's chakra

    Feel free to ban me if a thread like this has been made before. But I really want to see people opinion on this. And this is my first thread - So have mercy.

    Of course, i'd like to introduce my own view first, which might involve confusions, because i am a bit confused about this:

    From all the fights, we see that naruto has a lot of stamina. but that is largely due to the Kyuubi. Naruto himself was spent after creating a few clones. Then he begin to train with Jiraiya, to use the Kyuubi's chakra with more ease. So far this is consistent. But then somewhere along the line, we're told that Naruto chakra's is actually alot, because it takes alot of chakra to supress the kyuubi. With this fact, we have to ignore the effect of the seal. I thought the seal is what really supress the kyuubi. And now we are seeing Naruto trying to use his abundance of chakra - with his chakra in use, nothing is holding the Fox back, or vice versa, so Yamato has to supress the Kyuubi....that suppose to make naruto stronger. which make no sense. In the end, Naruto still have deal with the Fox himself.

    While this seems like Kishi is really creative and ignore all logic (sloppy is another way to put it), there might be some reasonable explanations. I have some ideas, but why dont i let u all start first. I'll say something after 10-15 replies.

    p.s. your participation is appreciated.

    the seal converted some of kyubi's excess chakra and made it naruto's,thats what jiraiya says when he first finds the seal.
    naruto's stamina was large and that is because of his own will power,nothing more.
    after chunin prelims kakashi tells naruto that kyuubi makes it hard for him to control chakra.(well he doesn't,but he thinks it.)
    using too much of the kyuubi's power(by begging from it)has weakened the seal.when naruto is pissed or low on chakra and resistance,kyuubi takes over.thats why he needs yamato during training,he's gonna be putting a lot of chakra.
    he can control the kyuubi when he's still calm,but not when his efforts are diverted to keeping a thousand or so clones alive.

    I am in agreement with pretty much all of what elnino said.

    after chunin prelims kakashi tells naruto that kyuubi makes it hard for him to control chakra.(well he doesn't,but he thinks it.)
    But I thought that the actual reason Naruto waasn't able to control his chakra was because of the seal orochimaru applied on him within the forest of Death, which Jiraiya removed and consequentially gave naruto better chakra control. Oh well.

    I believe in much of what you and Starslasher said but naruto's stamina comes from the fox, thats why he has such a large and unusual stamina and not to mention the healing factor. These are couple of benefits that comes at being a carrier of a demon.

    Moving on, all that theories and whatnot i tend to ignore it and try to keep things simple. I believe that the seal has many effects but the most primary factor of the seal is nothing more than a jail cell that keeps the fox in.

    The seal can be altered to the users liking, so anyone who are an expert at seals, they can modify the seal, so they can control the amount of chakra coming from the fox and into naruto. Also, naruto has an incredible amount of chakra of his own and when he uses the fox's chakra, they tend to mix together.

    When Ori modified the seal back in the forest, he made it harder for naruto to get access to his chakra, thus harder to do even the most basics of technique like that water walking. Jairair (can't spell) modified the seal to get back to it's own state but made it a bit more easer for the red chakra to come out. Thus, the reason why naruto gets access to more chakra and do incredibly strong techniques, like the rasangan at such a young age.

    This is just another guess but, i think the seal supressing the amount of chakra he has in his body may be the reason why he failed three times. this is pretty much what i think, meh!

    Yep, calling this a theory is serious. Rather, i am trying to have a clear picture of how Naruto's chakra is used and its development. it looks like we are taking it for granted, so does Kishi, i dont know, but it doesnt look straight forward like u said. EVen ur comment has contradiction :

    "but naruto's stamina comes from the fox, thats why he has such a large and unusual stamina"

    Then, "Also, naruto has an incredible amount of chakra of his own and when he uses the fox's chakra, they tend to mix together"

    Of course, the contradiction is in the words, not what you mean. Thats why i feel the need to make the picture clearer.

    It would be straight forward, if it goes like this: the Kyuubi is inside Naruto, so Naruto have the option of using its chakra when his is depleted, but with the Kyuubi come out, naruto lose some of his conciousness. Naruto's own stamina/chakra might increase overtime due to experience...But the impression of him being really strong without the Kyuubi doesnt fit into anything.

    I would be more comfortable with the Kyuubi lending Naruto power, or Naruto able to convert the Kyuubi's power into his own...Unless Naruto is blessed since birth with a incredible amount of charka, and just never know how to use it properly until now...that would be ok too

    The previous paragraph just spell out 3 possible theories: I'm more torn between the last two...i think its important which case it is, since it could imply the nature of Naruto and the Kyuubi's relationship and how it will evolve.

    Ok... First off. You didn't present a theory. Secondly this makes perfect sense. Naruto is constantly dealing with his chakra and Kyuubis chakra. By sealing off Kyuubis chakra Naruto is thus able to develop his own and rely less on Kyuubi, innately giving himself a larger amount and more versatile chakra than if he was always donating to control Kyuubi. By letting him use his own chakra instead of a mishmash mix of his and Kyuubi his base strength will increase because he has more of his own power to rely on without needing to resort to Kyuubi. Thirdly your grammar is atrocious... just so you know... I'm waiting for your theory btw.

    Ok. Doesn't the seal USE Naruto's own chakra to hold back Kyuubi's chakra? I believe this was stated.

    The seal uses Naruto's chakra to suppress. Thus, a lot of his chakra is ALWAYS in use and always battling to hold back Kyuubi. Seal weakens. Kyuubi is harder to hold back. Thus, more chakra is used for this purpose. The weaker the seal gets, the more of Naruto's own chakra is used to compensate.

    Does he 'gain' more chakra? Does it grow stronger? Yes. But as the seal weakens (and it does continually weaken), more of this chakra is used.

    Which could explain why...Naruto doesn't have as much growth prior to the current manga arc.

    But I only have a 25% chance of being right, eh?

    You guys are Over looking something here.

    Fisrt within naruto are two seperate types of Chakra. His own, and the Kyubi's. Naruto's Chakra is Very abundent, this has been said many times by many different characters. Naruto Also has alot of stamina, But whether that is all naruo or a by product of the Kuybi(be it strain, or gift) is yet to be seen.

    But non of that is new to any of you, that is just the facts. What is often over looked is that the kuybi and naruto have a very simple relationship, in which the Kuybi is still a completly living entity within Naruto. He recognizes that this Vessel which he is trapped can die, to provent that he can interfere. Basicly although Naruto has massive chakra reserves, So does the Kuybi(remember seperate Chakra). So when Naruto needs the boost, I'm talking Dire situations, The kuybi will step in. Steping in may be giving Naruto extra chakra, or in most cases( and these tend to happen in periods of extreme emotion) the Kuybi will emerge.

    My opinion is mostly based on the conversation between Jiriya and Naruto about the nature of his Chakra after forcing him to summon the king frog. The Kuybi realises he wll die with Naruto and stops it by adding to Naruto's Chakra.

    That could also mean that Naruto was granted that Chakra perminently, in which case it is something else to think about.

    How much of that makes sense to you guys?

    @StealDragon:

    I already said what i mean by calling this thread 'theory'; in part because i hope by the end we can arrive at a good theory. At this point however, Im still confused....thats y i asked for your help...

    And believe me, im not good with english, but i know when to pay attention to punctuation, or spelling. As for you, my friend, should pay more attention to what i try to convey...maybe my bad punctuation is distracting, then its my bad. The things u mentioned are obvious to me too, but you didnt try to explain the inconsistency i proposed: The impression i have of Yamato help is to hold back the Kyuubi so that Naruto can use his chakra at full potential. Now he is in battle, you dont expect Yamato to help Naruto with that any more...but then how would Naruto be able to use his chakra to a fuller extent?

    @bobtherocket:

    someone sure can hold a grudge, but i offended you not/ or are you trying to convey a sense of humor. But you just have to remind me who 'bobtherocket' is. In anycase, thanks for TRYING.

    @avihai:

    wow, this is ur first post! To me, chakra and stamina are the same thing...or at least chakra is what the fighter have, "stamina" is what we conclude when see the fighter can keep on battling and using chakra. Now about Naruto having abundance of chakra, thats a myth, since there is not an instant where Naruto doesnt use the Fox to win a battle...thus the comments by other characters are about the Fox, if not stated directly. But you are heading toward what I think is the big picture: How close he and the Fox might be becoming, interm of sharing their existence and chakra... Yes, this is my theory, and dont take it to be proven by facts, but its just what i think should happen, in order to make things more consistent.

    anyways, going to the 'I really hate cosplay' thread....

    Stamina Is not the same as Chakra for the simple reason that stamina is a real trait and Chkra is a trait in the world of Naruto. Every time the phrase Stamina is used it is in accordece to a Nin's survivability(or staying power) in a particular battle.

    In regards to what you said about naruto never-not having the Kuybi's chakra, this is true. There is no way to get around it, we just do not have an example to a pre-Kuybi Naruto to base anything at all off of. What we do have on the other hand is a few occurences of other characters(Im thinking Kakashi, Jiraya, Hokages) telling naruto he Naturally has tones of Chakra. And to go on, It is said on occasion there are different Chakras in his body.

    I will realate to the anime, his Chakra and the Chakra of the Kuybi are expressed in two seperate Colours. Although it is true that there is no way to say that any chakra, through his own or the Kuybi, Naruto has is not because of the Kuybi, there is no reason the speculate that it is becuase of the kuybi.

    There is no mention of the Two Chakras being the same, But there is mention of there being two sperate Chakras. And Although Ive already said that many many times here, Im Just trying to stress it. Naruto has an unusually large amount of chakra, whether it is his naturally or the Kuybi's is unknown becuase there is no controlled expample(i.e. non kuybi) BUT we do have testimony from people who would be the correct people to know about Chakra that Naruto him self has a tone of Chakra, and it stands to reason it is his own.

    Now there is a whole other topic to debate, which is whether the power and nature of a vessels for a tailed creature(the name slips my mind) is to control all of it's chakra as though it were its own, But that is a topic for another thread(in fact it ay already be one)
