wouldnt shadow clones be mentaly draunung while in use? imagine trying to tell 2000 of yourself what to do. I doubt that naruto could do it of all the peo. So why does it seem that the mentality of the person is not dosed while shadow clone is in use, let alone massive versions of it?
There is a differnce in learning a skill and mastering it Naruto mastered Kagebunshin no Jutsu. But some when you watch it sometimes you see them fighting thats just for comedic relief.
during the training to master his wind chakra, he absorbed the fatigue of all his clones once he cancelled them all out, so that is probably the closest thing there is to that sort of thing. Only when he absorbs all their knowledge and experience does he also feel their mental strain (and most likely, their pain if they were defeated in combat)
I suppose the reason is that he isn't mentally controlling all the clones; they all act independantly, but work towards the goal they were summoned for. If Naruto thought to himself "im gonna summon clones to fight this guy" then all the clones he made would know that they had to fight him, and would work towards that on their own.
so, when he creates a shadow clone is it literaly another one of him self, to the point that it is another living naruto? 2 more things then. one is a shadow clone drowns does it poof away too? and if ea naruto clone is like another human then the real naruto is communicating with them slightly in his mind too?
They say that the clones are exactly the same as a human body, to the point that even the Byakugan can't tell them apart. They seemed to vanish under two conditions, being either a fatal blow or all their chakra running out. As for communicating through the mind, I think it's more along the lines of what I said before:
1) Naruto comes up witha concept for what he needs to do (such as using the Naruto Rendan)
2) He creates the clones who, with his knowledge, know what their roles in the plan is
3) They carry out their roles, at which point they might just disappear or remain as part of combat
ok, but what about when his clones are already out and still going but he creates a different stragie? it has happened before. Like naruto shadowclones and he has lets say 20 out and half are kuni-ed he has ten left and then they create a combo and atk. what happens there to change the thoughts of clones? One more thing sense he gains experiancian from the clones does he gain more over time? = more stress over time after they poof?
I don't think his strategies ever change very much after he summons his clones. If they do, usually it is because he has summoned a new batch of them to replace the clones that were lost, thus they would have new instruction.
His stress and fatigue levels increase as his clones are defeated and more are created. When he was using clones to try and get out of Haku's Crystal Ice Mirrors, you see him get more and more tired every time he makes more, boith because he is becoming weak from the experience of his clones being beaten.
i think hes just getting tired cuz he used up too much of his chakra...

We dont know to much about bunshins yet kishi need to say more about how do they communicate and all that stuff. We know they are a real clone with its own chakra system and chakra and that after they disapear their experience goes to naruto.
I was gonna add more to my last post but ran short last night. I was also going to mention that each Shadow clones takes half of Naruto's base chakra; one clone and it's 50 percent, three clones and it's 25 percent, and so on. This means that at the early point of the series, before Naruto could tap into the Kyuubi's chakra, he was wearing himself out very fast with his clones. Now, with the Kyuubi chakra, it is said that all the clones and naruto himself retain 100 percent of his power, due to the seemingly endless chakra supply that the Kyuubi has.
