That's pretty weird, it looks like Kakuzu killed the shodai, but he doesn't use Mokuton.

And how does it really help if Hidan has both Shikamaru and Kakuzu's blood? Shikamaru is still going to die.

kakuzu said that shodai was the 1st konoha ninja that he fight. he never said that he killed shodai.

^ I assumed that the black stings in his chest meant that he died, that and the fact that the next frame showed Kakuzu holding a heart. That's why I said "looks like", especially since the translation doesn't say that he killed the shodai at all.

BooYaaa that Shikamaru does he ever not plan 99 steps ahead of everyone. He is da man even though he ain't uber strong he is uber smart. And I think that a smart man will always beat a strong man. I hope that Shika doesn't die because that would be to many great characters dying in this anime and that would suck.

KibaKilla, a word of advice, check the stickys quickly, you'll see what I mean and if your lucky you'll make it in time if not, you'll get banned(thats what happend to me and I was just slighty over the max)

As for the topic, this chapter is one of the better ones for a long time(not counting the training ones, I have a thing for those). All carefully planned out and executed, thats the ways Shikamaru does it, I ust love that charakter, namakemonodoushi ^^
