Kakuzu didn't kill shodai hokage, just fought him. There is a non-konoha forehead protector on the ninja whose heart is taken in the next few frames.

Also Hidan doesn't have Shikamarus blood. You don't see Hidan actually cut him who see shikamaru block and then blood on the the stake and Shikas face. He obviously just made it look like he was cut to trick Hidan.

Now that Hidan has Kakuzu's blood will stabbing Hidan 4 more times kill Kakuzu or will the blood only work for the one heart?

Just want to clear something up, look at the headprotector of the ninja taht is being deheartyfied, its the sand, so he was just saying Shodai as someone he fought that isn't Shodai, its random sand guy #3.

"Kakuzu: When I see your forehead protectors I remember the first konoha ninja that I ever fought."

He never said that he killed him, just that he fought him.
And as been confirmed by the two above posters, it was a sand shinobi that had his heart taken.

I agree with that. Besides in the last panel you can see shika looking preatty healthy for beeing stabbed in the heart, assuming Hidan wanted to kill him with one fatal blow

Wouldn't make sense for a hokage to do that, and it doesn't make much sense for Kakuzu to brag about it if he did run away.

mmm all i know is that Kakuzu should be dead. it shouldnt matter how many hearts he has it was his blood that was used. same blood is going through all the hearts and for all we know he could have them all in the same place. that was a smart way to hype it up though if Kakuzu wins, because now they have a plan although i doubt Hidan is dumb enough to stab himself again if he sees Shikamaru isnt dead, Hidan is gonna know whats up. personally if i was immortal like Hidan ida stabbed myself in the head, much more effective way of killing someone than going for the heart.

lol SD consider this, he has several working hearts and 3 of them left his body

more then likely he only took out 1 of kakuzus hearts

but Ill bet its that one heart with the element made to counter kakashi or naruto, meanin the counter is gone and they can start owning again

I wonder if shikamaru is just going to continue lying there or if hes going to attack again

yeah i know that, but i can hope cant i. it would make for a thrilling end. but like i said if Hidan sees Shikamaru not dead hes immediately gonna know whats up and Kakashi 'n Co. are gonna be in a world of shit again.
