And as soon as they find out that doesn't work you think they'll just keep hitting him in the stomach? Kakashi could beat him 1v1. Easy. Kakuzu can shrug off attacks like nothing too, but you don't see him acting stupid just because he can. That's the real difference between the two.

something tells me the only way Hidan is going to be defeated is by separating his head from his body (again!) and then putting the two in different places... sure he'll still be alive but at least he will be incapacitated. although from the last chapter it seems as if Hidan will be the one to kill Kakuzu since he is the truly immortal one.

I hope that they will decapitate Hidan and then take his head to Konoha for interrigation, and by doing that get more information about Akatsuki.

That is because everytime Kakuzu loses a heart he needs to replace it, 5 times and hes dead, Hidan could stab himself in the heart because he likes it and he does. Kakashi beat Hidan? Doubtful. Chidori is worthless against Hidan and although Kakashi has other moves Hidan is no slouch. Asuma wasn't some chump ninja, he was elite just like Kakashi and Hidan made it look easy. Fighting any of the akatsuki without a plan is a bad idea. Luckily for them they have a plan after watching the fight before.

Okay I don't get it... why does it matter that Kakuzu has 5 hearts? Blow up his brain and he's dead, I don't think he has 5 extra brains stored and even if he did I doubt he can transfer his entire consciousness over to the next one.

Despite having extra hearts a giant hole in the middle of your chest would kill you too. He can also survive when the hearts are in the masked monsters but not in himself. Think of his hearts in the same way as Sasori's core, his life is basically held in the hearts.

About his brain - We've yet to see a Ninja technique that aims for the brain. Kinda like keeping guns out of Medieval Warfare. It's just...more interesting.
