About LinkBacksWhy isn't Sasuke using the Sharingan when he fights Gaara? We only see the Sharingan AFTER he sticks Gaara with chidori.

Noticed something about the chuunin exam arc...
Why isn't Sasuke using the Sharingan when he fights Gaara? We only see the Sharingan AFTER he sticks Gaara with chidori.

I'd say he didn't use it so he could conserve chakra. It's not like he was having trouble following the enemies movements.
Just because you have something doesn't mean you have to always use it.

Yeah the Sharingan uses up chakra.
And Garaa wasent moving or hard too see or anything.

no. he didnt use it becuz keeping his speep (as fast as lee's) was already using a lot of chakra..
and he uses sharingan becuz without the sharingan he cant use chidori..
very simple huh
watch th fight again if i remember well he explain it or at least thinks it

the only reason he EVER used the sharingan in that fight was so he could see the spikes coming from the Ultimate Defense technique. that and at some point or another Kakashi relegated that Chidori is especially good with Sharingan users because their accuracy makes it much more deadly.

Actually it doesn't use up that mch chakra. Itachi once said to Kakashi that since Kakashi doesn't have Uchiha blood the sharingan consumes lot's of Chakra, this is not the case with Sasuke.
Chidori is an incomplete Jutsu. It REQUIRES the sharingan, Yondaime said this back in Kakashi Gaiden. Since one moves so fast if you don't have the Sharingan then you won't be able to see the opponents counter.
I don't really know why he didn't use the Sharingan when he was fighting Gaara...maybe since he was straining his body so much with that high-speed taijutsu he just didn't have enough stamina for it.
He used it at the end because without it he can't use Chidori.
