third hokage. if we could use kage bunshin in order to seal, then why not use another kage bunshin instead of his real body to seal orochimaru?

because he's an old man and doesn't have enough chakra and simply because the mangaka wanted him to die so he could make room for godaime.

Don't you need a soul in order to do that seal anyway? Kage bunshins don't have souls...

The reason is even if he used 3 kage bunshins, he would have died either way.

Also, Oro was the biggest risk so he didnt want to send a kage bunshin after him that could be destroyed easily.
