Thread: Gaara... some kind of mistake?

well, let's start with this first. when gaara and naruto were fighting... at the end, after gamabunta disappears, gaara and naruto attempts to punch each other. and den naruto ends up punching gaara. chapter 137 page 18. now i have a question. shouldn't gaara's sand shield protect him immediately? his sand shield isn't suppose to take up any chakra so wouldn't it do it automatically? I wonder what happened??

and also...chapter 281 page 10. even after Gaara's shukaku have been removed by the akatsuki members, Gaara is able to use his sand. hm...

any thoughts on these?

Well. After Naruto defeated Shuukaku with Gama, Gaara lost the whole autosand ability because that was provided by Shuukaku.

Later, at the whole handshake thing with Naruto and whatnot. He's still able to control sand himself, it's just that he had to actually think about it at that point.

I'm pretty sure that's right. Anyone wanna clarify?

i think it was somewhere discussed about gaara and this "handshaking scene"
it´s possible that he can still control sand,but he has to do it "intentionally" or he has to use chakre now....

I'm pretty sure he still has auto-defense. I remember one of the chapters his aunt said that the auto-sand was his mother's will or something, not shuukaku.

gaaras mother is gaaras mother and shukaku is a biju who has been sealed in gaara after he was born(or whatever)

Gaara's uncle was saying lies to gaara. That why gaara believe the voice in his head (shukaku) was his mother. The sand auto defense was the work of shukaku.
All the other tech was gaara controlling the sand. SO he still can control the sand but the question is, have he enough chakra?
Maybe shukaku didn't provide him with chakra like kyubi is doing. If that's true gaara's still a badasse even without his defense. Maybe he'll learn to control the black sand of the third kazekage
