Thread: methods of gaining m. sharingan

are there other methods? like...kakashi. and for sasuke, if he doesn't want to follow the plan itachi set for him, he MUST use other method in order to gain mangekyo sharingan.

i'm just asking around for predictions or theories.

Maybe you just have to recreate the deep psychological trauma of killing your best friend. Getting ass-raped should do the trick. Why else would Sasuke turn to Oro for power? He knows.

i agree, that's why kakashi could get mangkeyou too, although it's different because of the bloodline

yea but wut kind of psychological trauma did kakashi have during naruto's 2.5 years of training with jiraiya?

and also,.. wouldn't the methods be mentioned on the scroll that itachi talked about? the scroll that told itachi how to gain the mangekyo sharingan.

There has to be another way otherwise Kakashi wouldnt of had his. Only the 1st Uchia and Itachi got MS by killing their freinds so its kinda a long shot to say its the only way to get it.

I'm quite positive that when Itachi mentioned the mangekyou sharingan, he was referring to the genjutsu that he uses to fuck people up psychologically. I think that's the highest form of sharingan, and is only accessible to Uchiha clan members. Kakashi's got the watered down version of the mangekyou, so the method he used to attain it is probably different. Kakashi has no friends anyways. He spends his free time reading hentai.

Watered down? Ill take dimensional voids over psychological mind screwers anyday. :P

The MS refers to the eye, the jutsus have specific names, Itachi uses two (that may be linked to each eye), the one you're thinking about is Tsukuyomi. Kakashi's version is in no way watered down, Deidara even makes a direct comparison between Kakashi and Itachi saying that he didn't think anyone else had a dojutsu on the level of Itachi's.
