Thread: Biju

Now, now, it's not what you think. I'm making this topic so we can make our bets on which animal that some of soon-to-be-seen biju are going to be... And some of them are already known since some of them don't have other variations.

We already know that:
Shukaku- Tanuki
Nekomata- Cat
Sanbi- ...Turtle/Shellfish [Though I wouldn't call it that]
Yonbi- Cockatrice (Mix of rooster and reptile) [I doubt it'll be this, I mean come on, there's a giant rooster wreaking havoc all over a country? I think not.]
Gobi- Dog
Hachibi- Snake
Kyubi- Fox

One we don't know or think otherwise [At least I think otherwise]:
Yonbi- I hope it more reptilian. You kno the reason if you read my thoughts on it.
Gobi- I'd find it more appropriate for it to be a wolf. It'll look too friend if it's just a dog.
Rokubi- A monkey, since the other forms it COULD be is a cat, tanuki, or monkey. With the cat and the tanuki being a biju, the badger seems like the only one left, but you'll see why I didn't choose it.
Shichibi- The badger, It's an earth element which uses clay as well. Deidara, anyone?

I wouldn't bet on any of the biju being a specific animal until they're shown, we were already given a giant turtle thingy instead of a Isonade.

And there's also a possibility for the Hachibi to be something like this.

I think it'll be out of place if it's a dragon.

i doubt it will be a dragon.
the form itself is to powerfull much more so then a fox .
maybe something like a rabbit or wolf or something like that.

A rabbit? That's worse than the rooster....

does anyone else think that this kind of "assuming something without even a bit of manga fact" tread is interesting. i am more interested in what kind of chakra those chreatures have. and will anyone (exept 9tails in Naruto) survive this Akatsuki hunt.

i dont think the hachibi will be a snake it wouldnt look too diferent from the giant snakes (besides having eight tails) orochimaru and his minions summon I mean that wouldt look impressive and besides isnt manda the king of snakes? wouldt that make the hachibi something like an underling?

The hachibi is simply the eight tails. Not trying to start n argument but there's two variations on which is could be. A dragon or snake. Needless to say they both have 8 heads and 8 tails. Also, the snake would be called Orochi. It would probably be named the Hachibi no Orochi in the manga. So I would probably place my bet on the snake rather than the dragon.

According to what the page on the link says (wikipedia) the hachibi is a dragon with eight tails and it doesnt has eight heads, it says also that orochimaru is the one with both eight tails and heads and that hachibi and orochimaru are totally diferent entities but they tend to be portrayed wrongly as the same. Anyways kishimoto can do whatever the hell he wants and make the hachibi any animal he desires (I hope he doesnt goes for the eight tails dragon it wouldt seem right that a fox is stronger than a dragon)

No, he's probably gonna stick somewhat close to the legends. I mean, so far he's 3 for 4. Shukaku, Nekomata, and Kyubi. The only one who wasn't close at all is the Sanbi.
