I think that Kishi hasn't even thought of elements until now, because if he did then you think that everyone would have been taught much, much sooner. And Naruto didn't even hear of it until Kakashi told him, obviously Jiraiya could have mentioned it.

I also think that it's a mistake how the Kyuubi was sealed. The 4th would have had to carry the baby into battle with him and seal at the same time...or transfer the seal afterwards although I don't see how that's possible because he would have died by then.

i really dont think that he planned it ahead coz there are some sotries that were confusing thou i really dont know the whole story coz it is not yet finish.. But i guess, Kishimoto is a very good artist coz he later on discuss every details about naruto, and all other ninjas connected to him .. how he was being related to others... also he is a wind type while the kyuubi inside of him is a fire type.. and if we combined the wind and fire.. it will create a SUPERNOVA.. what a cool power .. if that's Kishimoto's thinking.. well it will be a good idea to create more story and plots.... well i believe he also just made some of his ideas on the way of makin the manga. maybe the nine tails part is planned out, or he based it on the jap folklore IMO.

i think he reads a hell of alot shonen manga's and rips (i mean thinks of new ideas) when reading them.

I think he pretty much plans out each ARC in advance, but prolly don't go much farther than that.

ye then just rereads wat hes written and comes up with exceptions 2 wateva hes previously said

Yeah, but there is only so much that can be original. But I think I read somewhere when they interviewed him he originally wanted Sarutobi to be a dog. That would have had dramatic changes on the story, unless he also planned him to be an Animagus.

yes he also said in one of the early naru chaps that he thought of the idea for harry potter first he said it should've been a manga
