Thread: What can't be copied?

This is pretty simple, since chapter 321 recently showed Kakashi using rasengan (I know that Kakashi didn't necessarily copy rasengan) I just want to hear what people think about what the Sharingan can, and can't copy (besides other kekkei genkai).

Specifically various forbidden or secret jutsus, such Edo Tensei, the chakra gates, anything invented by the 4th, and things of that nature.

Try to provide evidence of some sort.

well i saw kakashi use water shyt once ...so hes lyke lightning and water...he cant copy things lyke wind fire and earth ?

Well Sharingan can copy body movements and jutsu that require hand seals, but only if it's possible for the person who is copying to be able to do it. So if the Sharingan user copied a jutsu that uses more chakra than they have or some other requirement (Like a Bloodline) then it can't be copied.

But copying and learning are two diff things, if you saw someone use the Rasengan and you figure out that it's just swirling chakra you could try and learn it on your own.

I don't think it matters what element nature you are to copy it, it could just be a really weak attack instead of a strong one.

hard to say its weak considering that kakashis version was just as strong as zabuzas

but then again kakashi could really be water type too

sharingan can copy everything but signature moves

bloodline limits and anything that doesnt involve hand seals except taijutsu

i think kakashi is water type too ....cuz he did tha water dragon vs zabuza

Im not gonna get into this too much, since I have my own theories on how the Sharingan copies that might not coorespond with other people. Im just gonna throw this out here; maybe he didn't copy it, but was simply taught the move by Yondaime during the time when they were still part of the same team.

Can you elaborate? This goes for everyone in general, I still haven't heard a specific jutsu except for rasengan.
