Didn't Kakashi said in chapter 314 while explaining the essential techniques that he had to alter the nature of his chakra into an electrical current to perform the Chidori?

Jutsus using "raw" chakra are hardly ever used.. The Rasengan is the only one that comes to mind, in fact. And that's not even really a jutsu, as they don't make any hand symbols

    jutsu doesnt = hand symbols
    jutsu = technique

if i punch you in a certain way that it does more dmg
i could call it "Scorpian Strike Jutsu"
    w/e

and theres actually a great deal of jutsus that either use raw chakra or use a nature we dont know about

Yeah but usually you would use at least some way of fortifying yourself, using, you guessed it, chakra. They use chakra for everything there.. All the way in the beginning, Sasuke made a jump and you could see the chakra flying off, showing he used chakra to jump higher. So a punch that would do more damage would probably be chakra influenced too.

But you know, I can't help but wonder what nature healing chakra belongs to..

Since when did his father give him elemental training? His father barely paid attention to him.

While it's true that this could possibly be explained by their "natural affinity for fire", that could also just mean that people born into their clan have a tendency to be born with fire elemental chakra over the other chakra types, not necessarily that they can handle it better than anyone else.

I'd say the more obvious answer is that the five elemental types of chakra are a recent idea that the author came up with, and this is indeed a plot hole. It creates too many inconsistencies to have been planned from the beginning.

I'm 99% certain that healing techniques use normal chakra, since it doesn't fit into any of the five elemental categories and it's not a bloodline limit.

There are plenty of jutsu that dont require hand signs.

Neji's Kaiten generates a whirl of pure chakra.

Don't say that techniques using raw chakra are hardly used, because they're the most commonly used techniques in this manga. The only elemental techniques we've seen so far are:

    - Chidori
    - Amaterasu
    - Sasuke's basic fire attacks
    - Kakashi and Zabuza's water techniques
    - The techniques used in the fight between Sandaime and Orochimaru (and the hokage summons)
    - Shodaime's and Yamato's wood/plant techniques
    - Haku's bloodline limit
    - A few Akatsuki techniques here and there
    - Possibly Gaara's sand

Every other character in the series so far has used techniques that don't belong to any elemental type.

Yea but Im talking about when it was first introduced, I still think it was introduced as pure chakra.

Can anyone check this for me?
