    have you heard all-time quarterback?

hmmm....so that's where wow, comes from, eh? i've never seen it around, will have to check it out. i haven't gotten around to listening to older stuff. i know it won't be anywhere near the genius of is a real boy, but i'm just curious. :P

btw have you ever heard the song death cab for cutie? i wonder how (ben, most likely) fell upon such a song.

*isn't entirely sure if she should call death cab indie or indie pop (said only indie to be safe)*

I would NOT consider FFTL or The Used as emo bands (personally, I consider them crap). Alk3 is on the edge, Death Cab is a definite not-emo (as we've said).

Oh, ash, if you go to youtube.com, they have the official vid for SA's Alive With The Glory Of Love, and a bunch of live CTTS vids, and 1 crappy quality live Saetia vid.

Also, have you heard the new demos from I Would Set Myself On Fire For You? I mean, they're from Georgia, like CTTS, and they sound like they're desperately ripping them off. I still like I Would, but they've even got the male-screamy, female-singy deal CTTS has.

the used i'd call nu-emo (i think their self-titled is decent and haven't heard much after that) as i've said this is entirely my definition for bands that borrow a bit from the roots but have a different sound

from first to last...hmm...i don't know WHAT to call them (once again, i think they're decent)

i've always just considered alkaline trio pop-punk (like lagwagon, bracket, the descendents, buzzcocks, etc.) but i can hear a little emo influence

i have IWSMOFFY's stuff, but it wasn't anything new. i don't remember what i thought of it, but i don't recall liking it either. this would come to me as no surprise that someone would want to rip off CTTS, as they are an awesome band.

I also think it's weird the only two people in this thread who know their stuff (me and ash) are from Michigan....

Also, ash, get on AIM (I saw you have one in your profile), and message me (mines in my profile).

TBS are not emo. And as for The Faint, their wiki says rock/synth pop, and having heard them before (although, out of the Saddle Creek bands I've heard, I liked them the least), that seems to fit. Try listening to any bands me or ashxcore mentioned here (like Circle Takes The Square, who tend to be classified as chaotic emo, or just screamo, or Saetia, who many consider to be one of the more important screamo bands)
