Thread: what do you reccomend

a noobish thread i know... but i havent listened to the radio in months (and i dont intend on starting soon) so can anyone tell me some of their favorite songs that are out now (nothing from like 1992) that are worth getting or at least some albums that i can torrent dl.... i need new music. help plz

There's a site that can do that for you
www.last.fm it can take time to work, but when it does, you'll like it. What it will do will turn out like this www.last.fm/user/doctor-who which is mine. bacicly it takes names of songs via a plugin and compares what you listen to with other people with the same tastes and works from there.

That's a pretty vague question my friend. It all depends on what you listen to. Metal, Alt, Industrial, etc.

I can suggest some cool Indie bands, as that's one of the newest genres for me. I'd say check out "The Shins", "The Decemberists", "Death Cab for Cutie", "The Postal Service", "Norfolk & Western", "The Mountain Goats", "Nightmare of You"... There are a whole bunch of them. Some you'll like, some you won't. But they are definately worth listening to.

There's a new Judas Priest album that came out like a year or so ago I think, it's pretty good. Emperor has a best of album that came out recently too. Good bands.
