    Default Rap Music

WHOA!!! no thread on rap music... post opinions and favorite artists... dont bash if you dont listen to it i love rap music and me and my friends used to freestyle alot when we were kids.... now rap is all mainstream and 50 cent sold out and became a bitch ass R&B hook singer, the south is takin over everything (see Lil John, Young Jeezy, Ludacris, etc), people still bitch about whether Tupac was better than Biggie, Jay-Z pretended like he retired from rap, a ROCK band throws out an awesome compilation rap cd with the aforementioned Jay-Z (Collision Course - Linkin Park VS Jay-Z)and rocks my socks off, and Eminem hasnt put out a real album in years ... id say stuff is gettin a little out of hand...

DESPITE the fact i was born, raised, and currently living in Brooklyn, NYC
    -my favorite rapper is Ludacris
-Tupac WAS better than Notorious B.I.G.
-i know P. Diddy is a smart idiot with a dumb idiotic name (and millions of dollars to tell me to STFU)
-i know the South is takin over Rap
-No matter how white Eminem, Paul Wall, and Sean Paul are i know theyre black inside
-Lil John trademark "YEAH" is fuckin annoying even if it is catchy as hell
-crunk is OD!!! but everyone does not need to make a crunk song (eyeballs Usher)
-Dipset would be better off without Juelz Santana and his garbage music (props to him tho cuz hes gettin better)
-and finally we all know it but no ones said it even tho were all thinking it...all these R&B bitches need to stay the f*ck outta my rap music

speak on it from the dome my people

PS. and yes... where youre from has alot to do with what rap music you listen to

    songs i like
The Alchemist - When You Hear That
Young Jeezy Feat Akon - Soul Survivor
    Ludacris - Cry Babies
The Game Feat 50 Cent - Hate It or Love It
    Canibus - 100 Bars
    Dr Dre - Big Egos
    Eminem - Criminal
    M.O.P - Ante Up
    Jay-Z Feat Jaz-O - Lets Go
    Pitbull - Toma
    T.I. - RubberBand Man
    D12 - That's How
Sean Paul - We Be Burnin'
    DangerDoom - Vats of Urine
Kanye West - Through the Wire
    Nas - You're Da Man

hmmm i guess thats not a small list ...

I'd like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

...I like Sean Paul. XD And Linkin Park is the best. Overall, though, I'm not a big fan of rap music. With a few exceptions, I find it sounds pretty much the same (though the videos are fun to laugh at - with commentary from Ed the Sock, anyway. XD).

Yeah, I like that song, too. ^_^

Linkin Park is also pretty good considering they're a rock band as well. Some of their older songs have more rapping, if you want to listen (High Voltage, for example).

    Biggie was better then tupac,
Eminem was never good and never will be.

I've always listen to rap music however the newer rappers, and their new songs are a lil bit dissapointing, Rap was best in the 90's,

So I mostly listen to older rap songs.
But it happends that I listen to the newer songs/artists quiet often Young Bucks new album T.I.P is great, and even lil wayne made a new good album.

Sean Paul is not even a rapper.....
    Whats wrong with Juelz?
I agree with you about the R%B bitches, Omarion FUCK YOU and Mario too!! And Usher don't think youre speciall youre even worse then Omarion and Mario... eew

I still think that BIG is better then pac and eminem still sucks

japochoboi, kanye is one of your favs? personaly I don't like him, he hasn't done anything good after through the wire. That whole album was lame ( college dropout ) except that song, and his new album is pure horse shit ...

    Amen to that, brother.

I shouldn't even feed into the "who's better: 2Pac or Biggie" argument, b-cuz every damn rap thread will have SOMEONE mentioning the two biggest (& easiest to remember)rap icons

I listen to a lot of rap, so I'll give you a quick list of who I like in rap:

    Dr. Dre
    Snoop (sometimes)
    Bone Thugs-n-Harmony
    Triple six Mafia
    The D.O.C.
    Outkast
    GooDie MOB
    Twista
    Digital Underground
    Crucial Conflict
    the Pharcyde

    ....& then who I like in Hip-hop:
Wu-Tang Clan (before they fell off)
Mobb Deep (before they went pop)
    Ras Kass
    The Roots
    A Tribe Called Quest
    Public Enemy
    Slick Rick
    Big Punisher
EMINEM (when he's not fxxking off in the studio)
    Chino XL
    Akineleye
    Nas
    etc.

Eminem had a few good songs. He's not making them anymore.
