Thread: Anyone listens to NIGHTWISH?

Nightwish are a Finnish band that play what is more commonly known as "symphonic metal". The band's lead vocalist, Tarja Turunen is a classically trained vocalist, i.e. opera. As a side note, on their previous album "Century Child", they covered "Phantom of the Opera" from the Broadway musical of the same name.

The music is very grand and powerful, with lots of keyboards and soaring vocals. Highly recommended, although Tarja's vocals might take a little getting used to at first.

If you don't know Nightwish lisen to songs: Whishmaster, She is my sin, Nemo, Whish i had a angel.

"Come Cover Me" from the Wishmaster album is what did it for me. Hooked like a fish. LOL

YEP I listen to them....anyone listen to sonata artica??

I saw Nightwish at Lowlands 2003. They didn'd get me jumping and her voice kind of irritated me.. apart from that they're ok.
A friend of mine likes Sonata Artica, but I'm not a big fan. Guess that kind of music is just not my thing.
