Thread: Anyone listens to NIGHTWISH?

nightwish sucks, but does anyone listen to m.a. numminen.?

Music channel was playing "Nemo" and I havent been able to get it outta my head ever since :P

Wish I Had an Angel got me into them, but I really like alot of their stuff. When they get too opera-ish i'm not a big fan, but as long as they keep the guitar in the songs, i like it.

Nightwish was touring North America, and all my friends were going to the concert and were laughing at me because I couldn't go. Then the most awesome thing happened: they quit the tour just before Toronto. Now I was the one who was laughing...

I think Century Child is their best album, as I like the most amount of songs of it. Though my favourite is probably "Over the Hills and Far Away". I do have "Walking in the Air" stuck in my head nowadays, as well.

In case none of you had heard yet, Tarja, the lead singer of Nightwish, recently got fired for reasons i forget...

In any case, i think that's the worst mistake they could ever do, she's the center of the band...

Agreed. I would say that she is the only member who isn't replaceable. Different members would create a slightly different sound, but replacing the lead does create a new sound. Fans are going to be hard to please, as they always like the old over the new when it comes to band changes.

But I think they know this, so it must be pretty major.

Yes, i heard! Tuomas gave an interview in the ardschok (yes it's Dutch) and i was like OMG THEY DID NOT!!!!!! she has such a beautiful voice.

an about Sonata Arctica! I HAVE BEEN TO A CONCERT AND IT WAS GREAT!!!!! I GOT A PLECTRUM FROM JANI AND TOMMY GAVE ME A DRUMSTICK (ALL COVERED IN BLOOD)!!!!!!

ME LOVE SONATA ARCTICA AND NIGHTWISH (well, not so ure now tarja is gone... what will it do to their music)

I like this band and my fzvourite is "tenth men down"...great words and awesome music.
