Anyone like this Psychedelic Rock band?? They are great musicians and their lyrics are too are pretty thought-provoking...
Heh, that's my dad's fav band
I like some of it's songs too. "Another brick in a wall" is the best ^^
If you deny this, then it's your fault.
That God's in Crisis, he's over.
Every time I rise I see you falling.
Can you find me space inside your bleeding heart?
A fucking legend. The Floyd is one band that everyone must hear. "Another Brick In The Wall", "Money", "Wish You Were Here", "Brain Damage", etc. are all classics.
I have the Dark Side OF The Moon album, but thats it. I wan't to get The Wall, but last time I looked at it the price was 25-30 bucks. Seems a bit much.
Also, does anyone know if the song "On the Run" was what was being played in the BeBop episode about the crazy frenchmen (Mad LeFeux or something like that)? Sure sounded like it, but I wasn't sure and couldn't get to my copy at the time, and after that I didn't have enough memory of it to decide one way or another.
thanks to Silverwmoon!
Hmm I'll check it out...
and the best Floyd album well IMO has to be wish you were here... the unofficial tribute to syd barrett...
oh and if you want obscurity check out "the bike song".. its really weird...
The Wall is the greatest album ever made, and is quite worth the 25-30 dollar price tag. Another great album, though often overlooked, is Animals
Another interesting aspect to Pink Floyd is their use of synchronicity. The album Dark Side of the Moon matches up with the movie The Wizard of Oz In order to see this, you need to start playing the album after the MGM lion roars for the third time. For better directions on how to do this, go to http://www.rareexception.com/Garden/Floyd/Floyd.php
I'm a big Pink Floyd fan. I didn't specifically look out for it, but I'm pretty sure that if 'On the Run' had have been playing during that Cowboy Bebop episode I would have noticed. By which I mean to say, no, I don't think that was it
Just to throw it in there, I too think 'Wish You Were Here' is the best album they did.
Also, I'd been meaning to try that Dark Side Of the Moon/ Wizard of Oz thing for a while, and finally did earlier this year. It's a real pain to get it set up right, since the lion's roar is actually quite long, and you don't know when during it to start! But we got there in the end, and it was a pretty neat experience. Especially for about the first 20-30 mins. After that, you're kind of beginning to reach a bit to make the connections... but it's fun anyway
Omg me and my friend tried that a few months back, so hillarious!! Especially the first song, money. Like the aunt or whoever is taking these ckicks out of a box in rhythem to the "dum dum de dum dum dum dum dum" with the cash register *ching*

And I'd love to try that Wizard of Oz thing, if only I wasn't a broke ass student.
Nothing beats the wall. The best album ever created.
Dude, Pink Floyd is about the best band ever. The Wizard of Oz syncronizing thing is so effing cool.
