a friend of mine just gave me one of his albums, and it was as great as his best stuff.

haven't you seen a "western" (not sure if it is the good word in english... the movies with cow boys in the far west and etc.) in your life ???
if you have seen one, you have 50 % chance that morricone made the music (well.. i exagerate a lot but he did a lot of movie music... and good ones ^^)

he got big in hollywood when sergio leone hired him for some of his spaghetti wasterns, they went to school together or something. the good the bad and the ugly, I think he did that musical bit with the face off, I dunno what that bit was called though

mostly rock and orchestra, and i think he did some disco to(but i never heard any of it).
but he uses lots of instruments that you dont realy expect in those genre´s.
