Economic, social, political songs
I'm doing a project for school that requires me to find, burn onto a disc, and analyze 12 songs for my history class where 4 have economic themes, 4 have social themes, and 4 have political themes.
In addition, only 2 can be from the 1960's and I have to try to get songs from diverse bands (only 2 can be from same artist if I choose to repeat any).
Does anyone have suggestions for songs I could use?

Well I'd suggest some Dream Theater songs(DT fanboy here, what can I do....) like The Great Debate, Prophets of War, In The Name of God. The first one is about stem cell research, the second and third about the war issues like getting profit out off it and religious fanaticism.
You can get some System of Down, Rage Against The Machine and Public Enemy, they have a wider catalog of political/social oriented songs, also some old punk stuff will do. Thats all that comes to mind right now.

^Thanks, that helped a lot.
I think I'm set on the political now.
Any suggestions for economic songs? I think Prophets of War is good, and I'll also use Pink Floyd's Money. Need 2 more...

I thought of that song too(money) after I edited. Give Serj Tankian's Money a listen. It only has the same name but different lyrics. Maybe the Internationale(socialist anthem) could classify as an economic/social oriented song.
