It is difficult for me to even think about how terrible a statement this is. Blink182 and Sum41 are not punk, have never ever been punk, and wouldn't know what punk is if Johnny Rotten kicked them in the face. There is modern punk; if you live in the US you can go to the crappy part of town with all the rundown bars and you will eventually hear it. However, this sort of mainstream crap that plays on the radio knows about as much about punk as I do about whaling.

Just because they're mainstream doesn't mean they can't be punk. It's a genre of music.

And while the likes of blink-182 and Sum 41 may not be traditional punk a la the Sex Pistols, they are genuine pop-punk.

I like both Avril & Paramore however my sister prefers Paramore.

Paramore and Avril ,I don't like both very much.
But I would like to go with Paramore.
