I don't consider Deathcab emo. I like them.
I'm generally opposed to the entire genre, but I can't resist any kind of music whatsoever that I feel is well done. I listen to some Brand New; the vocal harmonies on some songs are kinda shiver-inducing.
well that depends on what bands you listen to. my taste in music is like so weird cuz i love my classical (piano and orchestra stuff) but i love "emo" music aswell. emo is not for "depressed" ppl!!! its to express emotions!! lol =D i like lyrical type rock not the hard core metal stuff. good "punk/emo" bands are:
1. MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE
2.30 seconds to mars
3.panic!at the disco
4.fall out boy
5.the red jumpsuit apparatus
yeah but if ur not into that much punk listen to Something Corporate or Jacks Mannequin.they're very good.its not emo btw.
God...all those bands you just mentionen sound so alike..no offrence ^^
*read the whole thing* *decided that seeing as emo is short for emotion, Broadway music contains the most emotion and most variety of emotion ^^ and Broadway ROCKS :D* *therefore concludes that broadway emo is good and everything else is a sad production of this strange modern concept of emo and is not valid*
To sum that up: Go Broadway for emotional songs... or emotion-filled or emotion-inducing songs :D

MCR is decent. 30 seconds to Mars is godly... and the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus? Didn't know that was emo...
Burning Tree Project is Christian Screamo... very wierd combo, but more fun to listen to than bs FalloutBoy or Hawthorne Heights.
