Have Linkin Park Ruined Their Career??

i've heard from at least 10 people that said what I've done is crap and that there old style was better. If they Change the style of the Linkin Park we all knew will we still like them?

how can we base everything on one song. wait for the album to come out then give your criticisms. From what i understand, everything available for download right now is old stuff or not even linkin park. i think "what ive done" is a cool song.

I don't like LP. But in rock/metal music, almost every band get bash when they change style.

Did they ever have a career worth ruining?

Well their original fans may not like them but they are bound to get a new fan base with their change of style, so I wouldn't really say they have ruined their careers just steared it in a new direction. It's what happens with alot of bands, they mature and discover new styles that they like and want to persue.

Yeah, and I'm sure that idiotic pop bands like the Backstreet Boys or whatever have sold a ridiculous amount of records, and I guess if you judge career as an extension of sales than I suppose Linkin Park has a career. However, if you connect career in any way to talent, than they have about the same kind of career as a slug. A career in music isn't so much about what the charts say directly after the release of their album so much as what they say twenty years from now. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, AIC, Ozzy; it is people like this that have a career.

linkin park has fans around the world. They have clearly established themselves as a musical artist, so yes they have a career. Comparing them to Pink floyd, led zeppelin, and others isnt fair. They've been out since way back when, while LP came out in what....2000? So not even 10 years, so how can you make that comparison?

also....as for my opinion on their new album, i for one like their new single...and i honestly can't wait for their new album. You can't pass judgment on something that hasn't come out yet. =\

I'm looking forward to their new album as well. I like their new single, its a welcomed change. All of their old songs sound alike, and that sound grew old fast.
