The wintersun that's like Dragonforce with screaming (Only much better than Dragonforce). Yeah, Im sorry, I just refer to screaming as grunting and shouldn't have said that in relation to Wintersun, but it just seems like too many metal bands now have just that.

Led Zeppelin is pure, undiluted LOVE. Fact of life.

But I love the Beatles, Queen, Elton John, Sabbath, etc.

I like AC/DC, Megadeath, Iron maiden and of course Sabbath, right now listening to johnny blade =).

PD:Hey Popothepenguin if you like those metal bands you should try listening to Edguy - we dont need a hero, really good song.

I'd have to say that Led Zepplin is the most skilled band of .... ever. The whole stairway to Heaven playing backwards is really freaky too. And I really wish Freddie Mercury was still alive. It really sucks that I can never go to a Zepplin, Queen, or Beatles concert... But rumors are that there is a Blue Oyster Cult concert coming up near LA in the canyon club , and don't say their a one hit wonder, because obviously you have not heard their other stuff. BOC and Deep Purple are way too underated (Smoke on the water was the worst thing Deep Purple could've played, because now they are forever to be remembered as playing that song even though Hush is their best) and how did I get to talking about this I have no idea.

^I have listened to Edguy. I forget what the song was called but I didn't like it very much, but it was only one song. Maybe I will download some more.

Edit: I listened to that song, and I don't know if it's me but most power metal just sounds the same. I can't get into it anymore. The only power metal bands I've listened to that offer something special are Sonata Arctica and Kamelot. I don't consider Wintersun power metal and Dragonforce got old months ago.

against popular belief , power metal still has things to offer, you just need to search enough

edit: oh and Edguy, while being desent, they're far from being one of the best
and Dragonforce... well, they started good, the first album was excellent, the second was OK, and the third... in a scale from 1-10 i'd rate it a 4, they can do better

I've listened to many Powermetal bands, and I know Edguy is not close to being one of the best. It seems like the majority of them have no difference, just high fluffy speed solos with that singing that I can't really describe (for now just Powersinging).

Oh, and I forgot to mention Iced Earth, I love those guys, if you can consider that power metal.

And, yeah, the second album of Dragonforce was my favorite, but the third was just the SAME thing. They really need to do something different to keep their fan base (Maybe make their songs shorter in length). My fav song of them is Soldiers of the Wasteland, and its the only song by them that doesnt get old for me.

^^rapid funny bunny- Altime fave song= Carry On My Wayward Son by Kansas. Altime fave album= Boston, sad that the singer just commited suicide. Altime fave concert= Foreigner at the Ventura County Fair summer 2006. Altime fave singer= Freddie Mercury. Great stuff great stuff (except Van Halen, I hate Van Halen, hahaha)
