Default Is Hip Hop Really Dead???

Looks like Nas was right, what ever happened to rhyming?? the lastest case being a song called,
"this is why im hot" by MIMS.
Dude ain't saying nothing, just the same thing over and over, as to why his song is #2 on hot 100 is a mystery to me.

    Is Hip Hop Really Dead???
Oh, I hope so. I hope that it gets vengeful and petty and takes Rap and R&B down with it into oblivion. One can only hope.

Please no - or at least let it stay alive in Japan. m-flo just released a new album and I happen to like them! =P

    I don't mind hip-hop. I really don't. But of course, I like everything...

Long story yes and short story no. Really some of the main stream rap is garbage nowadays. There are a few acception but really the majority is water down lyrics. But rapping was always about how better or hot yur skills are; thats why there are rap battles.
The underground scene is still fresh though Living Legends is one group of b-boys worth checking out.

Imho all music sucks right now. Ive given up on it all when people start thinking Justin Timberlake has some black in him since his new album is so "soulful" >.>

I'd like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

stereotypically yes, but if you really listen to the music alot of it is not about "bitches and hos" or "the benjamins" some of it is actually really smart and good. For instance, listen to some Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Lupe Fiasco, Outkast, or Lauryn Hill

It is record labels that killed Hip Hop, they don't want to sign rappers who bring a message or who are controversial.
"Go out there and rap about some bitches 40's and cash and make us some money...son"

"But I want to rape about politics and life, I want to be like NWA, Public Enemy, Tupac, DMX, Eminem, Grandmaster flash"

"Muahaha funny, ok bring me the next kid."

"Why thththank you very much for tttthe opportunitty ssssir"

"Very good, lets get him a hair cut, a rap sheat, and a bulleproof vest, then lets go spend 5 million on advertising so he can't fail."

It is fuckin disgusting, the sad part is that idiots will eat this garbage up because well if it gets alot of play time on TV and drunk girls dance to it in clubs it must be the greatest thing since sliced bread.

But it is all good cause NIGGA WE BALLIN'!!!!!! (Someone please fucking kill these people) I can't even remeber if we can curse on these boards, but incase we can't ohh well... this post needs it for emphasis.
