Thread: Johnny's Entertainment

Ok so for those who don't know what Johnny's Entertainment (aka JE) is a company that produces jpop boy bands/groups. The company has bands like: Arashi, KAT-TUN, NewS, Kanjani 8, takki & Tsubasa, kinki kids, Ya-Ya-Yah, Kis-my-foot, and many others. And i was wonder what bands, band members, and songs that you like from JE.

hm.... for me i like NewS, KAT-TUN Arashi and Kanjani. hm.. as for specific members: Keiichiro Koyama (NewS), Yamashita Tomohisa (NewS), Koki Tanaka (KAT-TUN), Yuuichi Nakamaru (KAT-TUN), Masaki Aiba (Arashi), Yasuda Shota (Kanjani , Yokoyama Yuu (Kanjani why hmmm....well they're all pretty upbeat and happy people =) and kinda goofy plus i've known some of them since i was young (like yokoyama, aiba, yamapi, ryo chan, murakami, matsujun, nino, takki, tsubasa, tsuyoshi, koichi, etc., etc.) lol just makes me feel familiar to them than the newer members of johnny's (kat-tun, most of news etc.) hm.. songs there are so many like:
NewS - Fiesta, Cherish, Kibou~YELL~
Kanjani - Osaka Rainy Days, Kungfu Fighting, Sukiyanen,Osaka, Nani wa Iro ha bushi
Kat-tun - Signal, Real Face, Kizuna, She Said, Six Sense
Arashi - Typhoon Generation, Kotoba Yori Taisetsu na Mono, love so Sweet, Wish

i still have a lot to discover about the johnny's bands so how about you people??

Johnny's band members are HAWT.

I haven't listened to many more than you have - KAT-TUN is a good and popular band (but hey, their music is actually good; no wonder every single Japanese teenage girl is a fan), and I've heard some good things about (and by) NewS, KinKi Kids and Kanjani8. Arashi's dancing is... XDDD but again, good music. TOKIO is a REALLY good band - aside from NagasexAyu rumours (=P), Sorafune is a most-played song on my mp3 player. I've got pictures of Tackey in my locker... Tackey and Tsubasa were the first Johnny's group I ever heard. (And are a good one, at that.)

Gotta listen to V6 and SMAP some more; haven't really caught on to either yet.

My favourite JE group is KAT-TUN and they were the first ones who I got into. I absolutely adore Jin (and I can't wait for his return) and he's my fave member. KAT-TUN has really cool songs. I also like Kanjani8 cause they have really nice songs too and some really funny ones as well. Same with NEWS

KAT-TUN also has some really good sales. Hardly anything came close to them last year. But... hey, at least the music's good, and their band members (despite what others say) are good-looking. Although none of them are Takki.

mmhmm takki is really hot even when he was really young i remember watching him on 8ji da J back in 1998... lol i feel old =___= lol hm... KAT-TUN does have really great sales and it's no reason why. well NewS did pretty well too! but then the whole under age drinking incidents...well they're back and are going to release a single in march. i'm not too sure about Kanjani though but i really like Osaka Rainy Days and Nani wa Iro ha bushi the videos and the songs are awesome and plus i like yasu and maru rapping in Nani wa Iro ha bushi. =)

Oooh, must listen to that song. ^_^ I haven't heard very much - so much J-pop that I haven't heard much by anyone. =P Wow, Takki's been around for a while... I haven't even been into J-pop for that long. =o Yeah, JE artists are nearly guaranteed a good spot on Oricon charts, aren't they~ They always do really well.

ya well they do a lot of collaboration like i know The B'z guitarist... Takahiro Matsumoto composed for Kat-tun's song real face...if i remember correctly... Well a lot of them are atleast in the top 10. But is oricon based on sales or just by expected popularity?

ya takki, tsubasa, ninomiya, aiba, matsujun, shibutani, yokoyama, nishikido, murakami, yamashita were all on 8ji da J as i said earlier. that show ran from 1998-1999 yep i have seen clips of the Shounen club but i haven't watched like a full ep... -___-'' who's the guy hosting it? i remember seeing him on 8ji da J too lol

B'z composed for them? =O J-rock compositions can be really good... no wonder that was such an awesome song. ^_^ Oricon is based on actual sales - that single sold a LOT. Millions of copies, I think, and that's really rare.

Shounen club... hmm, must find episodes of this. ^_^ Seeing those guys younger would be cute, I bet~
