Thread: Who's your top 5 favorite japan artist?

just like the title says, who's your current top 5? and please post their picture if you think there might be people who don't know that artist.

my list:
no 1 is Ayumi hamasaki!!!

i had been her fan since 2001, when A-Best just come out. I was having a horrible time at school and actually wanted to commit suicide. ayu's 'a song for xx' gave me the courage to live.


no 2 is Koda Kumi.

i used to dislike her because of her image. but, last year when her 12 singles awere just out, there are a lot of members in AHS using kuu's sets, i got curious about her music. so i download 'birthday eve' and 'shake it up'. i loved her voice sooooo much!!!!! but, still i don't quite like her sexy image....


no 3 is Aya Ueto

i start to notice her through 'Attack no 1' j-drama. but it was her movie 'Azumi' that caught my attention. i was swept away by her acting. She do sings, but her acting is way better.


no 4 is T.M. Revolution

His song is catchy. i found out about him through Gundam SEED anime. actually.


no 5 is Koichi from Kinki Kids. i really like his drama. i'm still saving up to buy his musical "SHOCK!"

yuna ito and mika nakashima are my top artist as of now!

I dont listen 2 much japan music, i dont no where 2 get dem :'( , but my fav 1is Utada Hikaru. I also like anime music such as "Rewrite" and "Melissa" from FMA and others.

just serach for the artist/song/drama that you want.
for drama, i highly recommend 1 litre of Tear (by Erika Sawajiri)and Attention Please(by Aya Ueto)
if you want to try concerts, take ayumi hamasaki, she holds the best concert in japan.

Mmmhhh... It's hard to tell... I like so many... besides I like several rhythms, from pop to visual... maybe I'd have to make a list for each type... Ayumi Hamasaki (the first one I got videos of), Masami Okui (the first one I got a lot of music of), L'arc~en~ciel, Malice Mizer, Moi Dix Mois... just five? ah!

I could keep writing names for a long time...

I haven't heard too much Japanese music and I only have 1 or 2 songs from most artists.

1. Nana Kitade (It was her and Kesenai Tsume that got me into it all)

5. Minawo

Though I think I will definately be checking out all the other artists posted here who I haven't heard of. I may find more that I like hopefully
