    scary kids scaring kids is post-hardcore, so is TOCS underoath. TCOTT underoath is metalcore. COTP and AOD underoath is death metal influenced-metalcore (well, mostly COTP got the DM elements). i've not heard DTGL. head automatica is electropop/power pop. thursday is post-hardcore. i'm glad you recommended some of those bands, though (especially circa survive--anthony green is amazing).

    More of electronica, actually. But some of the songs do make for a good rock substitute.

    Yeah Xasthur was the only 'X' band I could think of, so they do fit the bill for best 'X' band I know.

    BFMV != metal.
