Demon Days was a real breath of fresh air, not just for the Gorillaz but for me. The change of pace from the stuff i had been listening to prior to that cd's release was getting pretty stale, and the changeup came at the perfect time.
There are bands such as Good Charlotte that are a mish mash of crap thrown together that you dont know what genre to place them in. Gorillaz new album is the polar opposite, blending together any genre they feel will fit in with an overall tone. Im happy that they brough in Danger Mouse and made a really fresh album. rather than simply copy+pasting of their debut.
They totally sold me on their next album.
