    Default Live shows

what band(s) would you love to see or have seen live? and what was your favourite concert you've ever been to?

me personally, my favourite concert to date has been Tool when they were touring after they released lateralus. I would love to see Metallica and even though it's impossible, i would have loved to go to a Pink Floyd concert when they were doing The Wall. Seeing that live would be amazing. A friend of mine has a video of them performing The Wall live back in i think '79 or '80 when it was waters on vocals and gilmore on guitar.

I've not been to many major concerts, mostly just local stuff. However, I did go see System of a Down with The Mars Volta as the openers. It was like heaven if really, really loud.

i'd want to see system of a down in concert. they're different from a lot of the bands out there in that they've created almost their own style of music. which is similar to what tool has done. that's why even though they're not metal min my mind, they're still a very creative and powerful band.

i notice that you have ratm in your sig. i saw them live way back when they were still around. they put on a kick ass show, although zack's performance was up to par with his album performance. his voice wasn't as loud and he cut some of his screams and yelling short. he still went crazy on stage though.

what do you think of U2's new stuff? i'm not a big fan of their newer more mainstream style of music. i loved their older stuff a lot better. Sunday Bloody Sunday is one of my favourite songs. i liked it even more when i saw the rurouni kenshin video with that song playing in the background.

r we talking big concert (mostly rock band) or just concert (jazz and blues, which are small compared to rock bands, in terms of stage, audience, lighting, etc)?
rock, i've been to steve vai a couple of times, joe satriani, and another blues guy...can't remember his name...quite famous...but not eric johnson...similar style of playing.
    jazz, too many to count
i really really like to see pat metheny perform, either in his trio format or with his group..both are awesome...deep purple (can't get a good seat...so maybe next time...), john williams...(funny guy, he's australian but rarely perform here)

it could be any sort of concert, doesn't matter, i guess i should've made it more clear and said concert, opera, or anything that relates to watching bands/artists/orchestra or anything live. i've never been to an opera or a jazz/blues concert. i really would like to go one day and see it live. one day i will.

I haven't been to a concert since Coheed & Cambria with underOATH and 3 back in 2004. and before that it was Brian Setzer Orchestra sometime in the late 90's.
