Has anyone watched this yet? This movie was stunning. I loved every second in it. There were a few groan inducing parts that came from disgust but it was still AWESOME!
This movie needs to be seen. Watch it in 3D if you're able to.
I like it as a separate movie even thou it has some minor mistakes
but not as a prequel to Aliens.
I thought it was great, the best part is that Ridley Scott still has his touch, and Blade Runner II is in good hands~
It was so great. Me and my friend saw it twice.
I knew it was a prequel/reboot of Alien going in, but I just thought of it as this incredible Sci-Fi movie. I cannot wait for the sequels. It's supposed to be a trilogy of sorts.
I saw it and enjoyed it but there are some scripting choices that are just beyond excusable. Spoilers => Two guys who spend the entire movie running from the idea of an alien just waltz up to an alien and start calling it baby? Why save Merideth if you're gonna just kill her in an completely illogical way ten seconds later. Why did no one ask what the fuck happened to Dr. Shaw when she was staggering around covered in blood. And most importantly WHY DID THE ENGINEERS TRY TO KILL US IF THEY MADE US. Dr. Shaw just pulled that out of her ass (aliens as a biological weapon designed to kill us? Where the fuck did that come from?!) and it totally flipped the entire tone of the movie.
I'd like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

I enjoyed the film. I don't think it sits well with the other Aliens movies, but as a standalone pure sci-fi film, it hits the spot.
Spoilers response- I figured that the people that spotted Shaw were in on the alien pregnancy thing. I suppose that's an poor assumption since we know that the 'driod wasn't really sharing with everyone. Erm.
I kinda figured that the Engineers created us as an experiment and decided to wipe us out and try a different thing. The idea that the Engineer station there was a bioweapons place I found a bit of an odd leap. Yeah I get that the urns with the black crap had what turned out to be evil psycho dna mutating aliens in it, but that doesn't mean that they were necessarily weapons. They could just be part of other experiments that the Engineers were busy with - like Earth. The experiments just went bad.
This makes me feel like a wet blanket. I thought the film was pretty good looking, but the plot just pissed me off. I left the theatre angry and disappointed. It made me think of Wrong Turn and the Halloween movies. A bunch of people go out and the woods, act like idiots and get cut down by the supernatural baddy. Just a bad taste in my mouth.
Oh well. At least you guys had fun.
This movie was made to make people think about certain questions, however I find that if you think about it too much you become dissatisfied. There's no reason to over think anything though, including movies, manga, and books. They're just entertainment.
I am not yet watch the "Prometheus" but some of my friends tell me that it is good movie.. Maybe I will download this movie later.. hehehe
