In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan. Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax…he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.
Whoa, I'm a massive GL fan. I guess they've been waiting for the point where the tech means that they can do this without it looking crappy. Hope they don't screw this up.
Hmmm. Why Parallax, why not Sinerstro? I suppose too much backstory needed.
All I wanna know is if Parallax is in it does this mean were gonna see Hal lose it in the future movies, or Parallax might come now Sinerstro come the next movie and Sinerstro taken over by Parallax in the last film with another Villian as well.
I guess this all comes down to how successful this one is. To do this properly, they should have Sinestro in this one being all Super-GL and stuff, well ordered and all that jazz. Have him going insane in the next one. Have Parallax taking over Hal in the 3rd (with the Guardians bringing Sin back and Hal snapping his neck), and Hal killing himself to re-ignite the sun (bonus points for having Hal knock out Supes while in Parallax mode).
Dunno about actually having Hal return (Spectre?) and Sin and his corps. Needs too much else to happen for it to work.
Ryan Reynolds recite the Green Lantern oath at Comic-Con, but your eyes will be focusing on Blake Lively lol.
I like Ryan Reynolds but I would rather see a GL movie with Jon Stewart. I hope it ends with Parrallax honestly to setup for the second movie.
IF ANYTHING. I'd love to see a Blackest Night movie adaptation. Animated of course. It would be ridiculous live action.
As much as I like Jon Stewart I'm glad they didn't go in that direction, because everthing started with Hal Jordan.
