It was kind of nice to see a real "power" like that. I kind of hope it'll just stay that way - to show the viewers that cool stuff actually does happen to people.

And it doesn't look like she'll get back together with Nathan, either; damn. =P But as long as Nathan stays Nathan, that's good. He's one of my favourite characters.
(WHERE IS SURESH)
Suresh is probably off thinking bout what his dad did at Coyote Sands. Personally I think they ruined his character and he's got nothing more to give story-wise, but I heard he might appear later in this season. Who knows.
Yeah for a moment there, watching the deaf girl play the music, it felt like season 1 where they were introducing the characters. It made the episode worthwhile. I say it's still to early to tell whether it'll be good as it's easier to judge it as a whole when the season's over, but so far there's nothing very objectionable. I was hoping for Tracy to be a villain too, at least continue her killing spree for a few more episode before stopping and looking for redemption. But no, they got her stopped at the first episode. Boring.
I actually think Matt-Sylar is interesting if Matt turns a bit darker and doesn't whine as much...Sylar taking over him like Jessica did Niki would be nice, and if they can involve Janice more it could be OK. Still sooner or later we all know we'll probably get our old Sylar back; but I think he's got nothing much left to do on the show. Imagine if four seasons in all the writers can do is get him to collect more powers. I mean, come on? I don't like saying it but when Sylar gets his body back I think it's time to kill him for good. Samuel looks good enough to take over, I like how he's evil in a different way to Sylar. I even sympathised when he was turned away from his old house.
Samuel has ink powers, but is also somehow able to move the earth? I love the ink power because it's such a complex ability with many surprises.
So far the season is sucking. 3-0 in favor of sucking.
His power's to move earth. Terrakinesis. It's the power to move the earth and the minerals/etc. that's in it I think. My theory's that the ink's made out of something he extracts from the earth.
Today's episode was slower than last week's...I'm not impressed, but I'm not shaking my head dejectedly either, not like during Villains. I'd rather have a slower arc than one with terrible plot twists every episode. You know the feeling I'm getting? The slower episodes now will mean a bigger payoff towards the middle of the season. Hope I'm right.
Hiro's story was interesting, and I almost got emotional when he told his sister bout his condition. Almost. If a scene can make me cry I call that a comeback. I'm really looking forward to the episode where Charlie appears again...I heard it's episode 8.
And Sylar's back already. He doesn't know who he is. And he meets Samuel next episode. Awesome.
Charlie the one with the photographic memory? She's awesome, I'm looking forward to that episode. Your explanation of the ink being made of Earth materials certainly makes sense.
...he made me giggle.
Really disappointed to see Sylar's return - at least, I hope it isn't permanent. Maybe if he and Nathan pull a body/consciousness-switching thing? But even then... It was kind of cool to see that it was Sylar-Nathan who had the conscience to confess the death of that girl... but... well, does this mean Matt's okay now...?
...or will it be Nathan's mind (well, memories/personality) in Sylar's body?
Yeah the one with the memory. I remember she was so sweet, when Hiro couldn't save her it was real sad. Haven't been that sad watching Heroes in a while.
I didn't expect Sylar back so fast either, but I think...I think it's like a soulless body, because Sylar's mind is still in Matt's head. If you watch next week's preview Sylar clearly doesn't know who he is. Either he shifted back and still has Nathan's persona, or he's a blank John Doe type who finds he has powers. End of Nathan I guess. So Matt's not out of the woods yet...this whole Sylar's body being empty and mindless is weird.
Tadashi...lol. Though I was wondering why Hiro didn't meet himself when he teleported back to where Kimiko was talking to Ando.
That was actually a good Hiro filler.
If Sylar looks in the mirror, then the foreshadowing of him becoming Claire's new daddy is going to waste.
Ooh, interesting episode, bit faster pace than last week's. The Claire-Gretchen kiss was so overpromoted but I'm glad it got eclipsed by the revelation of the invisible sorority girl. So much for 'normal life' again, huh? Gretchen is just plain creepy now.
I liked seeing Peter and Emma, especially at the piano duet. I really like this ability, it just sets a great atmosphere. And I was surprised when Emma suddenly slashed a wall playing a cello (wow), reminded me of...those people from Kung Fu Hustle. But I'm disappointed that almost every ability has to have some sort of combative nature to it. I was hoping for once that she'd just have a pleasant regular ability and just be a great support character for Peter but if she's going to get into fights then...that's lame.
Seeing more of the carnival is cool, and it looks like there's more in later episodes. Zachary Quinto deserves a lotta credit, seriously, 'cause he was as un-Sylarish as I can remember this episode. It's different from when he was Sylar and he was pretending to be nice (which was also pretty good acting) but now he's just some whole other person.
dude I was thinking the EXACT same thing as I was watching it too. At first I was disappointed that her power didn't appear to have any usefulness then bam she does a sonic boom at the wall!

From time to time Claire looks like a 3d model. Either she's too perfect, her makeup artist is too good, or whoever is shopping her is doing it too heavily.
