Well there are something that need to be trilogies, and others that don't, this needs to be there is noway they can fit everything from the cartoon into one movie.

Well, the could always cut out non-essential things like character development. Just have Ang run around quickly learning all the bending. Skip aimless things like plot and side quests and you can be done in half and hour.
I do agree that this should be a trilogy, but I'm not holding my breath that they're going to do the cartoon justice.
@Stuyvesant: There not gonna do the cartoon justice.
Does anything ever do its source material justice... >_>
I like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

Not usually, but on the odd occasion, it can surpass the original. For the most part, I'm happy when they keep the feel of the source material - like with Watchmen or Nightwatch. I don't compare these to the original in terms of story or depth. I just want it to feel like it's part of the mythos. I don't think they're going to get that right with this movie.
Man... I'm REALLY looking forward to this! But I hope they don't screw it up too badly...
I thought that the movie for the Avatar: The Last Air bender was going to be in cartoon. I feel kind of disappointed, but curious at the same time on this one. Though I don't have high hopes for it...sadly.
I kind of excited that they going to make movie for the Avatar. Hope they don't screw to much...
