Default Hollywood currently working on 55 remakes/reboots

Looks like no one will have to worry about a lack of good movies to watch in the foreseeable future: because a lot of old good movies are returning to the big screen!

Have a look. It's likely you'll find at least a couple of films you liked in the list. It's actually more than 55 since a few more were announced since the article was published.

I'm mostly indifferent to this, but as a comment said, 'there should be laws against this kind of crap'.

I wouldn't mind seeing Metropolis redone with modern tech, but I can see it becoming another I, Robot and that depresses me.

Conan, Short Circuit, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show I don't think will be good remakes, they are too much a product of their times and are often loved for the wrong reasons.

You know what hurt the most? Rashomon. You can't remake that. You just can't.

My Fair Lady... annoying, but not as bad as Rashomon. Haven't actually seen anything else (maybe Romancing the Stone, but if I have seen it, I didn't like it), though Barbarella actually looks interesting judging from the casting. I liked Grindhouse, anyway.
