Whatever, I will still see it. It was cyclops in it. He is my favorite X-man.
The rumours about the Deadpool spinoff were mostly from the fan community. I doubt the producers at Fox were initially thinking of it. As of now, the only way they can have a Deadpool film is if it's a prequel about Wade Wilson. But he won't have the healing factor in it; its one of the implants he gets from the Weapon X1 program here.
Say, is it okay to post a spoiler thread about the leaked movie? I got to watch the rest of it.

I'M NO HERO, BELIEVE IT!
I saw the movie.
But not the 100% version, the SFX still need to be worked on.
I watched the movie - It sucked.
- Small Spoiler -
But what could we expect - we have multiple characters - the movie was 100 min. Each of them get their 5 minutes of fame..and it sucked.
Wade Wilson - The plot wouldn't really change much if he didn't appear in this movie - Only two scenes - Two jokes
Gambit - Completely overshadowed by Wolverine
Blob - Two scenes with him - nothing great, not amazing, nor important plot wise - just action wise
Agent Zero - Kinda cool character, but still completely useless
Cyclops - Whatever, he could not appear in this movie, it wouldn't really change much
Sabretooth - The only character done close to properly
Silver Fox - Kinda cool made..but still, somehow thinks that not enough of her
Dr. Xavier - Appears - that's it
The best scen is the openning anyway( the wars).
saw it, was kind of disappointed.
Apparently, the final cut is the same length as the workprint. The CGI is finished but still sub-par at places. The reshoots were done mainly to add a number of extra 20-second 'easter egg' endings that'll play out during and after the credits.
And apparently different copies of the film print will have different post-credit extras attached, so hardcore fans will have to watch the film multiple times... in multiple theatres if they want to see all of them. A clever ploy from Fox to try and compensate for sales lost by the leak, but now it seems to me that the film is doomed. At the least sales are going to be severely affected.

The movie was so lousy, I have doubts if they will earn enough money for any spin-off's. But Hollywood works on strange rules..
Not being extremely well-versed in x-men, i of course wouldn't notice what would disappoint really loyal longtime fans.
as a stand alone movie, (meaning irrespective of comparisons to the comics) i would say its actually quite a good movie. i never got bored. the action was well-paced, and well played out too. as an action movie it had quite a bit of depth; i don't get the same tired annoyed feeling i get whenever i see other actors playing constantly-angry characters. wolverine, obviously, was great.
of course, i'd have liked to see more gambit, more of wade (i think he was underutilized), and did they really have to kill deadpool? they should have given him an ambiguous death, leave him open to return in other movies. other than wolverine, the only other character with any real development is sabretooth, who came off looking like a real character in his own right to me.
overall, i'd say that it feels...different from the other x-men movies so far. i think its the focus on wolverine. despite him being sort of the main personality in the other movies, when they finally revolve the story around him this time, they put a different sort of tone on it - i think that it doesn't seem so much like a 'save the world' kinda thing anymore. nothing on a big magnitude. just a story involving one character, more than anything. although of course that mutant-camp programme was kinda large-scale, it wasn't at all the main focus of the plot; they weren't aiming to bring it down or anything from the beginning.
i'd say its still a good movie. whether or not it disappoints fans i wouldn't know, though from watching other adaptations of things i like, i'd understand if some ppl feel it doesn't do the comics justice. oh well. you can't please everyone, i guess.
From what I've been hearing, anyone who is a comic book fan is not pleased while anyone who doesn't know a thing seems to have enjoyed it. I'll give it a try later but I don't really expect too much.
