    Default Mutant Chronicles

    Did anyone see this. I can't help but compare it to 300, its like the same damn style only steampunked to the max. Funny thing is it's so bad its good... Its got a great cast (Ron Perlman, Devon Aoki, John Malkovich, Thomas Jane, Pras Michel, etc) and a ridiculous story about some gigantic underground demon machine that turns dead and almost dead people into spear armed mutants with the sole purpose of killing people to make more mutants. Anyway it certainly raises eyebrows. I guess the crappy look is like that for a reason (obviously if they could afford those actors they could afford decent special effects) but its moot. The action is fucking intense kinda like Starship Troopers but its less buggy goo and more "holy-shit-arm-through-your-face!". Only real complaint is this movie should have been much longer. Needs more character development and backstory.

    Devon Aoki, i love this chick. You got to understand that the budget was extremely tight so that's why it looked like that. I have no doubt that if they had more money backin them, they would have made a much better movie. For only a 10 million dollar budget, i'd say it was a good movie.
