Sofia Coppola
So I just watched The Virgin Suicides and I think I just cemented Sofia Coppola as my favorite filmmaker. Lost In Translation is my favorite all time and Marie Antoinette is just one of the best looking and musically scored movies ever. Anyway what do you guys think of her films?

She is ok. I think she has awhile before, she gets to the same level as her Dad.

I dunno, I wouldn't call her my favorite filmmaker, not by a long shot, but she got potentiel. Its been awhile since I've seen lost in translation, but I thought it was ok, some long scenes, but a fine movie.
But I've never heard of The Virgin Suicides, but perhaps I sould give it a go.

I'm embarrassed to say I've never seen any of the Godfather movies. Francis executive produced all of her movies, so he had input.

Its on the back of my mind, but the opportunity hasn't arisen. I won't watch them on cable because I won't stand the commercials and no one I know has it on DVD and I'm more interested in downloading recent movies than the oldies.
I want to watch all the films nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award since 1987 first and foremost.
