Well...American remakes of Asian horror always suck. No exceptions. Hollywood just can't seem to get the atmosphere right.

This movie looks exactly like the Grudge which looked exactly like the Ring. I will definetely not see the American or the Japanese version.
i thought the american version was alright. Nothing compared to the thai version, but decent at least. I'd definitely recommend the thai version over the american, but still i'd give the american remake a(n) 7-8/10
...
the guy seemed to be enjoying the creepy ghost girl trying to have sex and making out with him...
i like the thai version better where the guy gets so scared that he runs flights of stairs only to be stuck on the 4th floor, he climbs down the fire escape only to be stalked by a tangling monster-looking kind of girl, and the whole not real relationship with the girl was nicer.
Can't pass on free sex~the guy seemed to be enjoying the creepy ghost girl trying to have sex and making out with him...
Old, little girl, surprise, even from undeads.
But is there a torrent or something of the tai version?
I saw the Thai version of this movie and the American version, it American version was just okay for me. I still like the Thai version better. What I don't get is why is American keep doing remakes Asian horror films? I know that some did well, but other just suck. I think that they need to still making remakes and come up with something orginally of thier own.
I actually think remakes are a good thing. It introduces Asian cinema to North Americans, and while most of the remakes are bad you can at least get a laugh out of Sarah Michelle Gellar acting terrified.
Hollywood horror has been traditionally slasher gore flicks. It relies on blood and guts and monsters jumping out of closets to scare its viewers. Asian horror, on the other hand, builds on atmosphere, something that Hollywood can't seem to do.
While we're on the subject of horror, I recommend Jisatsu Circle for those looking for a good scare. Two words: turnip lady.
