Just got back from watching this with my brother. Great movie! Surprisingly there was great character development, great story telling, awesome visuals! They're a few corny parts and such, but it was kind of done on purpose and in a sense just adds the small comedy element to it. First off, at first look i thought the movie was geared towards the younger audience, but now after watching it, it's a great watch for everyone. My only real complaint is that they're a few long parts in the movie, otherwise I give it like a 9/10.
Watching this movie was like what I would imagine life to be when on acid. It was very full of bright colours and moving things.
Actually, I really liked this movie. Sure, there were a few plot holes, and it was fairly predictable (although single lines fortunately weren't), but it still made for an enjoyable experience. At the beginning, the background never really matched up with the characters; the special effects did improve as the movie progressed, though. Rain was damn hot. I did have a problem with Spritle having such a big part; it was a little annoying... even if the movie was aimed towards kids, to an extent. Sure, he had one of the best moments in the movie (after Speed rejects the offer... you'll know when you see it), but overall, he was just a little too present.
...but still, great. It actually felt like a video game, kinda...

It was amazing, I was surprised at the profanity but it was a solid movie and the ending was epic. The CGI didn't impress me as much as I thought it would.
I like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.

Just got back from watching it, and lucky me I was the only one there in that particular theater to watch it. Though I guess going to the 10:10 showing had nothign to do with it.
Overall I think they got the role of the brat right. Far as I remember from watching that show when I was little that little jerk was EVERYWHERE.(they were still showing speed racer in 95 so im not OLD) And it was surprisingly better than what I thought it was going to be by leaps and bounds. Also found it interesting to see speed lines(invisible ones) during a fight, felt oddly like reading a comic at that part.
Oh and Akira tailights ftw.

I should've expected that; my friends and I arrived forty minutes before the movie began (we wanted tickets) only to be kicked out while they cleaned the threatre, and we were the first in - and only, for a while. It was actually not even halfway full, I think, and that was on the Friday.
